Edition #7 of our newspaper-style menu features new dishes inspired by Chef Pat’s training in Deutschland
Last summer, we sent Chef Pat to Theo’s hometown of Kyllburg to expand his skills in the culinary arts by training and working with real German chefs. These new additions to our Speisekarte were inspired by that experience:
- Champignon-Rahm Schnitzel – Schnitzel (our Spezialität) covered with mushrooms sautéed in herbs, reduced with white wine and sweet cream
- Paprika Schnitzel – Red and green bell peppers, onions and garlic simmered in a rich tomato and paprika sauce with Opa‘s secret spices on top of our classic Schnitzel
- Zwiebel Rumpsteak – An 8-ounce top sirloin, seared, topped with Kräuter butter and served atop Schmorzwiebeln (braised onions)
- Gasthaus Salat – A side of mixed greens tossed in a tangy herb dressing, with Karottensalat, cucumbers and tomatoes
