Hollerbach’s Springfest is right around the corner, so close we can hear the polka playing already! Music is a vital element for any great German experience, and we are thrilled to have a great group of entertainers lined up for our first-ever spring festival on both the outdoor and indoor stage. Guests will experience everything from their favorite beer hall songs to crowd-pleasing acoustic classics and even a dynamic German-flavored circus performer!
Starting the event off with a bang, we have the King Guys Oktoberfest Brass Band playing on our outdoor stage in Magnolia Square. This local band is composed of seasoned Central Florida performers who recreate the sounds of a traditional Munich beer hall and invite our guests to sing along to favorites such as “In Heaven, There is No Beer” and “The Happy Wanderer” as they dance and drink. “My favorite part of playing German gigs is the audiences,” said musical director Jim Luce. “They love to have fun and we have a blast interacting with them. When the musicians and the crowd are feeding off each other’s energy it always makes for a great show.”

If you’re a Hollerbach’s fan, chances are you’re also a fan of Jimmy and Eckhard, our wonderful in-Haus band that entertains our dinner crowd every weekend. You can catch our favorite duo on the outdoor stage from 4pm-6pm before they hop inside the Willow Tree to play their traditional Saturday night set.

Watch out for our next entertainer– he might just run you over! Fritz of the Fritzy Brothers One Man Circus is a whirlwind of yodeling, stunt-performing energy, and he’ll literally be rolling through the event on a unicycle (among other talents!) Some guests may remember Fritz from his guest performance at the Willow Tree Cafe a few months ago, when he carried a young lady from the audience on his shoulders as he unicycled through the restaurant, astounding our guests and making our managers bite their fingernails through the whole act. Only time will tell if he’ll choose another volunteer to ride with him through the streets of Sanford, but you definitely don’t want to miss out on the spectacle of this act.

If you love German dancing, don’t miss the Schuhplattler Gruppe Alpenrose! This folk-dancing group from Orlando teaches and performs traditional German dancing, including the famous “slap dance”. Join in to learn something new or watch from your seat as they spin and slap their way through the day!

We are thrilled to have local Sanford legend Cowboy Keith wrapping up our outdoor entertainment with his unique blend of acoustic music that will have you toe tapping and singing along in no time. Keith loves German culture and is a regular fixture at Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe, along with his lovely German wife, Christina. We love having him in our entertainment lineup to mix up traditional beer hall songs with a little John Mellencamp and Creedence Clearwater Revival.

As you can see, we will have an unmissable entertainment schedule at Springfest 2017, and we can’t wait to sing and dance with you at this event!
