We dream about throwing our annual Oktoberfest party all year long, and every year we try to really out-do ourselves! This year, we’re introducing one of our biggest changes ever: second day of Oktoberfest! That’s right, if you like our traditional Oktoberfest team up with Alive After 5 on the second Thursday of October, you’ll love our extended Friday night party. Join us on Friday the 14th from 6-11pm for a second day of German fest fun.
Here are the top 5 new things to expect at Hollerbach Oktoberfest 2016.
German Clothing on Sale
Not sure where to get your own dirndl or lederhosen? Good news, Hollerbach’s Art
Haus is now carrying a select inventory of imported traditional German wear for men and women, including full ensembles. Keep an eye out on Friday for our “Hollerbach Girls”, who will be modeling all of our latest looks on the street during the event! If you like what you see, head to the Art Haus to be fitted for your own!
Your Tickets to Oktoberfest
We’re introducing special food and drink tickets at our Friday event, which will be redeemable for any of the delicious food and beverages on the street. Choose from a variety of dishes from different regions, and wash it all down with a chilly German beer from our beer truck or a cold cocktail. To make things extra easy, we’re offering packages of tickets online in advance, so you can grab your tickets and get started right away on the day of the event. Click here for the packages.
Making it a Block Party
We love our Downtown Sanford community, and this year, we’re thrilled to be partnering up with some of our neighbors for an even bigger party. In addition to working with Alive After 5 on Thursday, we’ve expanded the event to 2nd Street and Palmetto Avenue on Friday night, to include our friends West End Trading Company, Celery City Craft, and our awesome Belgian cousins at Buster’s Bistro, who will be serving up some of their famous pomme frites.
Let Us Entertain You
It’s not an Oktoberfest without music, and this year, our guests can sing and dance along in magnolia Square to Sonnenschein Express, a highly sought after touring polka band, in addition to our wonderful restaurant entertainers, Jimmy and Eckhard. Don’t forget to catch the Alpine Rose dancers, who will be teaching the crowd traditional German dance steps, and stick around for a little last call late night jam with Cowboy Keith from 10-11pm,
Bring the Family
We believe Oktoberfest is for all ages, so you can expect plenty of family-friendly activities. In addition to taking the kiddies around for German music, dancing, and food (we’ll skip the beer for now!), families can also visit our Kid’s Zone for German coloring pages, custom Hollerbach puzzles, Fry the Schnitzel (corn hole), and more!
Join us Oktober Friday Oktober 14th from 6:00 to 11:00
